Just because something is doesn’t mean it can’t change.
And just because you haven’t seen something before doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
Don’t let the hardships take away your love.
Please.
Never let it take away the love.
It is the source of your power.
Love is how we keep showing up. How we keep softening, even after being scraped raw. Love is how we keep opening our hearts to the world, again and again.
The world is better with an open heart than a closed one.
Love won’t stop the storm. But in most cases—even the roughest—it will help us survive it.
And in rare, sacred cases, love might even help us enjoy it.
The argument I make here is for kindness.
To be kind with each other.
For each other.
On behalf of each other.
Be kind to yourself.
Because the day will come when you will need the kindness you gave away.
The day will come when you won’t be able to hold yourself, and someone will hold you instead.
Maybe, in remembering kindness, we can begin to see the people around us not as distractions or delays—but as companions. As sacred. As necessary.
And maybe—just maybe—in seeing each other this way, we will find more peace, more rest, and the possibility of being liberated from pain... together.
Thank you for helping me get there right now.
Thank you for my aliveness.
